Chinese satellite launch sparks 'missile' fears in Taiwan

Taiwan, Taipei, january 9 2024, at 3.17pm this afternoon, the Ministry of National Defense issued a national air defense alert via cell phones, stating that China had launched a satellite at 3.04pm that had flown over the southern part of Taiwan, and that people should pay attention to safety and notify the police and fire department if they found any unidentified objects. However, the part of the alert written in English mentioned a missile, creating confusion and panic among some citizens.
